We are expanding rapidly as a platform for Digital Operations Management using AI/ML and Automation and growing our adoption by Development, IT, Customer Service, Security, and other teams across the organization.

We are seeking a technical and customer-focused Solutions Consultant II to join our team. The Solutions Consultant II will partner with sales, product, and customer teams to build trusted relationships and help customers realize the value of PagerDuty's Operations Cloud, acting as a consultant, technical salesperson, and product specialist throughout the sales cycle.

Day to day, you'll independently own the Proof of Value process — from initial discovery through final presentation — and run workshop-style technical discovery sessions that translate customer needs into a clear path forward. You'll deliver custom demos that tie technical solutions to business value while building relationships with technical champions inside each account. Across every interaction, you'll translate complex concepts for audiences ranging from SREs and developers to business stakeholders, confidently navigating functional and competitive objections along the way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build technical champions at customer accounts through standalone meetings and conversations, working closely with AEs to identify and grow them.
  • Own the Proof of Value (POV) process end-to-end: identify the business case with the AE, scope use cases and success criteria, document deliverables and timelines, and deliver both technical and final POV presentations.
  • Conduct workshop meetings that include deep-dive technical discovery, tying the technical solution to business value, visualizing current and future states, and delivering recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver custom demos tailored to unique customer pain points, partnering with automation engineers on complex scenarios.
  • Conduct lightweight Operations Cloud Lifecycle Assessments (OCLA) with customers.
  • Effectively converse and persuade at a technical level with practitioners (SREs, developers, MIMs), and handle functional and competitive objections.
  • Articulate PagerDuty's differentiators relative to a customer's current and future state, incorporating them into POVs and custom demonstrations.
  • Break down complex technical concepts and explain them clearly to audiences ranging from DevOps engineers to business stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate notes and feedback in the CRM regarding customer input, both wins and losses.
  • Share best practices and reusable assets with other Solutions Consultants to improve the efficiency of the team. This Role Requires

  • Strong communication skills to build and manage relationships with new and existing clients
  • Project management skills and the ability to come up to speed quickly on new products and processes
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a technical field
