We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media - France to lead the strategy, planning and delivery of Deliveroo’s French social presence. You’ll shape how Deliveroo shows up across social channels, ensuring our work is culturally relevant, platform-native, creatively ambitious and connected to our wider marketing and business strategy.
Sitting within our Global Brand Marketing function and reporting to the Director, Social, Cultural and Earned Media, you’ll work closely with our France Marketing team, agency partners and colleagues across Brand, Media, Integrated Marketing, Consumer Communications, Commercial, Grocery and Retail.
This role is open to applicants based in France or England and follows a hybrid working model, with three days a week in either our Paris or London HQ.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining our Social, Culture and Earned Media team, connecting people with Deliveroo through the moments, partnerships and experiences that matter most. You’ll balance strategic ownership with hands-on leadership, setting the long-term direction for social in France while ensuring our day-to-day presence is timely, engaging and effective.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Set the direction for social in France, leading our strategy and roadmap across always-on activity, brand campaigns, commercial priorities, cultural moments and reactive opportunities, with a focus on building brand equity, consideration and cultural relevance.
Turn global thinking into locally relevant work, translating brand and campaign strategies into social-first ideas, formats and executions that resonate with French audiences and feel native to each platform.
Lead our French social presence, overseeing channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, as well as the content calendar, tone of voice and community engagement approach.
Bring teams and partners together, acting as the senior social lead for France and collaborating across local Marketing, Brand, Media, Commercial, PR, Global and European Social teams to embed social early in campaign planning and share learnings across markets.
Lead creative delivery and partnerships, managing agency partners and influencer activity from briefing and production through approvals and launch, ensuring work meets the right creative, strategic and operational standards.
Keep Deliveroo connected to culture, monitoring French culture, creators, communities, trends, platform behaviours and competitors to identify credible opportunities for Deliveroo to join or lead conversations.
Turn performance into progress, establishing effective ways of working, reporting on social performance and community insights, and using those learnings to optimise content, campaigns and channel strategy. You’ll also coach junior team members and contribute to raising social standards across markets.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Deep social and cultural expertise, with strong knowledge of major platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, alongside an excellent understanding of French culture, internet behaviour, creators, communities and trends.
Flawless written French and excellent English communication skills, with the judgement to develop distinctive, accurate and culturally relevant brand communications.
Strong strategic and creative judgement, with experience developing social strategies and campaigns that build brand visibility, engagement and cultural relevance, from initial strategy and briefing through execution, optimisation and reporting.
A data-informed approach, with a strong understanding of social metrics and the ability to translate performance and community insights into clear recommendations that improve future work.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience managing agency partners, creative development, stakeholders and competing priorities, alongside the ability to coach junior colleagues, influence effectively and operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
