What is The Role

We are seeking a proficient Revenue Manager (8–10) years of revenue accounting and operations experience in the software/SaaS industry) to join our India team. Reporting to the Director of Revenue, this role is a critical pillar in facilitating our month-end and quarter-end revenue close operations, maintaining contract compliance under ASC 606, and optimizing our revenue architecture. The ideal candidate brings extensive operational close experience, robust ASC 606 expertise for contract reviews, and hands-on experience with revenue automation tools like Zuora RevPro. In this role, you will lead the month-end close, manage deferred revenue and RPO reporting, direct UAT for New Product Introductions (NPI), and partner with IT and Transformation teams to optimize upstream processes

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage and execute the E2E operational close in RevPro and NetSuite, ensuring a predictable, precise, and timely month-end and quarter-end close cycle.Contract Review & Deal Governance: Review non-standard customer contracts under ASC 606 guidelines to conclude proper revenue recognition treatment, performance obligations (POBs), and proper system setup.
  • Manage and report on Deferred Revenue, Remaining Performance Obligation(RPO), Current RPO (cRPO), and Unbilled Accounts Receivable (UAR).
  • Conduct MoM, QoQ, and YoY flux analyses for RPO, calculate FX impacts, and manage Short-Term vs. Long-Term Deferred Revenue reclassifications.
  • Execute system health check queries to safeguard revenue data integrity.
  • Lead UAT for New Product Introductions (NPI), new pricing models, and system enhancements , close coordination with IT and Transformation teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address upstream data gaps, improve pre-batch data ingestion, and implement data quality guardrails.
  • Continuously evaluate close activities to identify automation opportunities, streamline RevPro workflows, and reduce close cycle times.
  • Understanding and owning the key internal control related to system, month end close process and financial reporting.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • You need 8 to 10 years of experience in revenue accounting and operations in the software/SaaS industry. Additionally, you should have over 2 years of experience with ASC 606 compliance and contract reviews. You also need more than 3 years working with enterprise revenue automation tools. Finally, at least 2 years of experience leading end-to-end revenue close processes is required.
  • Experience with complex contract reviews
  • Hands-on experience with revenue automation tools
  • Knowledge of month-end and quarter-end close operations
  • Experience managing deferred revenue reporting and RPO
  • Ability to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate with IT and transformation teams
  • Demonstrated success in optimizing revenue close operations
  • Implemented process improvements resulting in enhanced revenue reporting accuracy
  • Achieved operational excellence in revenue accounting during month-end and quarter-end closes
  • Experience leveraging Gemini or Claud for process automation desire
